Twenty years ago, Jean, an Oldham County mother, was navigating some incredibly difficult moments as a parent of five. Instead of letting those challenges leave her feeling alone and overwhelmed, she and her husband decided to learn, ask hard questions, have uncomfortable conversations, and make some changes in their own family. That “parent makeover” brought their family closer and sparked an idea: parents shouldn’t have to figure this out alone.

That idea became Operation Parent.

Today, we’re still focused on making sure parents and caregivers have the tools, knowledge, and support they need to navigate the challenges of raising kids.
