Interested in making a leadership gift? It takes less than you think. For a small amount per period, you can make a big difference!

 

KECC Glossary

  • Administrative Fee—A small fee passed along to other “write in” organizations to help cover the administrative costs of running the campaign. The six partner charities pay for 100% of the administrative costs of the campaign.
  • CAP—Christian Appalachian Project, one of the six partner charities of KECC.
  • CHC—Community Health Charities, one of the six partner charities of KECC.
  • Coordinator—The main volunteer contact in each cabinet. The coordinator is responsible for his or her cabinet’s reports, working with the volunteer partners and communicating with KECC.
  • Designation— An option provided to donors during the campaign that allows donors to direct their contributions to a specific agency or program.
  • ESK—Easter Seals Kentucky, one of the six partner charities of KECC.
  • Group Meeting— A brief 15 to 30 minute meeting, held on company time, at which groups of employees learn more about the KECC through videos, special speakers and charity staff. Employees are given pledge forms and asked to make informed giving decisions.
  • KECC—Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign.
  • Leadership Giver—Giving level for state employees who donate at least 1% of their annual salary through KECC.
  • Volunteer—Persons within each cabinet, agency or department who work with the overall cabinet coordinator to help ensure a successful campaign.
  • Payroll Deduction—A unique way to donate to the charity of your choice by giving a small amount out of each paycheck.
  • PCAKY—Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky, one of the six partner charities of KECC.
  • Per Capita Gift— The campaign measurement arrived at by dividing the total employee gift by the total number of employees in the cabinet.
  • Pledge Form— Each state employee must complete one in order to give to the charity of his/her choice through the KECC. Also known as the Pledge Card.
  • Pledge Loss—Money pledged to KECC but never received by the campaign due to employee turnover, data entry errors or retirements.
  • Report Envelopes—The envelopes that are used to collect, tabulate and turn in monies collected to KECC.
  • Coordinator Rally—Key campaign meetings held for the purpose of receiving reports and collections from all solicitors, in order to publicly announce the progress of the campaign and build enthusiasm for it.
  • UW or UWKY—United Ways in Kentucky, one of the six partner charities of KECC.
  • WHAS CC—WHAS Crusade for Children, one of the six partner charities of KECC.
